Men I

When I watch TV commercials, I generally find them to be cringe-worthy.. Yet, I believe they serve as a sign of the times for self-declared, self-promoting cultural warriors. Think about current commercials and think about how men are depicted. Usually the men are effete, bumbling or just plain stupid. I see men who cannot fix a plumbing leak, men confused about fabric softener or men confused about buying life insurance. I believe good Catholic men of faith, make good husbands and fathers. They are not stupid, they are not weak. The men I know, husbands and fathers, are good providers and make sacrifices for their families. If they don’t know how to fix something, they learn how to do the job. Best of all, they practice their faith, knowing that they must care for themselves, body, mind AND soul.
