Pope Francis

I am back to posting after recovery from heart surgery. I am saddened to learn of the death of our Pontiff on April 21. I find that it was a significant passing on the day after both Roman Catholic and Orthodox Christians celebrated Easter. He leaves a mixed legacy–reaching out to the marginalized but also marginalizing folks—such as those participating in the Traditional Latin Mass. I truly believe in the Jesuit style of things, he felt that folks had better formed consciences than they actually did. I look forward to praying at his tomb when I next visit the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. Saint Daniel the Stylite Ora Pro Nobis!
